This is YOUR VILLAGE, and we encourage you find your tribe here. The Village MJ is a collaborative community of family experts. Our goal at The Village MJ is to connect new parents, and to be parents with specialists in everything baby, toddler, and little. In addition toconnecting you with parenting professionals and resources we encourage you to meet other families to help build your tribe and expand your network of support.
Hi! I'm Brandi Jack, founder of The Village MJ. After becoming a mom to my daughter Bowie in 2018, we signed up for a Mommy & Me Music Class, a Mommy & Me Sensory Class, and Baby DJ School (we lived in LA and yes, that was a thing). We loved classes. Right before Bowie turned 1 we moved from LA to Mount Juliet. We were at a loss when we couldn't find any classes near our home – in Mount Juliet. Being new to the area I turned to social media to see what other parents were doing with their littles. I quickly saw a pattern in the questions moms were asking:
How can I make mom friends?
Who has kids this age or that age?
What do you do with your baby/toddler all day?
Does anyone know of any weekly playgroups or mommy and me programs?
Is my child developing adequately?
What should I be doing to help my child's development at this age?
And the recommendation requests; doctors, chiropractors, daycare, schools. . .
I began to wonder, why is everyone online asking for help? Because making mom friends is HARD. And making dad friends is HARD. I learned early on that new parents need a village, not just to raise their children, but to raise themselves in parenthood. I wanted to fill this need not just for myself, but for the other parents out there as well. After a lot of collaboration, mentoring and NOT giving up, The Village MJ was established. I believe that giving parents a space to connect results in healthier parenting and a happier child. At The Village MJ our goal is that you'll find your family tribe, bond with your baby and feel empowered to conquer parenting like the fabulous parents you are!
About the Founder
Brandi Jack is a wife, mother of four and has worked with children for over 20 years. She has a Master's degree in Exceptional Student Education and an Educational Therapist certificate. Brandi has taught preschool and elementary education and has also worked as an Educational Therapist with students with learning challenges. Brandi is greatly enjoying the seasons, new found Southern hospitality and collaborating with studios, parenting educators and mom groups to offer a variety of classes and courses at The Village MJ.
